Frequently asked questions
An escape room is like being on a movie set with themed decoration, audio, and sometimes even smells all coming together to create a fun an immersive experience. However there is a difference! movie sets don't have brain teasing puzzles ;) Typically you and your team are given 1 hour to solve the puzzles within the room and escape. Depending on the theme and backstory it might be that you simply have to escape or maybe you have to find some kind of secret item that is hidden within an old antique box with a padlock on for example.
I know what you're thinking... What if I cant solve the puzzles? Don't our game master is always on hand to give you hints and once you start getting your mind in the swing of things you'll be surprised and have that a-ha moment when you've cracked a puzzles.
Of course you can leave at any time as the door is never really locked. However, for complete immersion we encourage you to enjoy the experience in its entirety.
We don't offer refunds for no shows, reduced group sizes and late comers. If you want to cancel and it is at least 48 hours before your booking then you will not receive refund but will be able to book at another time within a 3 month period. If you decide to cancel with less than 48 hours before your initial booking then you will not be eligible for refund and will not be able to rebook.
Alcohol and drugs, Anti-social behavior
We do ask that you do not turn up to your game under the influence of alcohol or drugs. As much as an ER is a great way to start off your night please do not turn up Brahms and Liszt. You will be turned away for unacceptable conduct towards staff or public and will be refused entry and refunds will not be given.
In room behavior
Please don't go wreck it Ralph mode when in room. We do ask you be mindful of treating the room with respect. You do not need to turn the room upside down and be forceful with the locks and props etc. There will be stickers on things in the room that we politely ask you not to touch. We try to theme and hide things like wires/mechanisms that make the puzzles work as much as possible though sometimes things may be discovered and ask you to not pull wires etc.
Sadly due to the layout in the pub we cannot accommodate for wheelchair access. Some puzzles require colour vision and low lighting may be an issue if you or a member of you team has trouble with their sight.
Yes! your safety is the most important thing and we will give a health and safety briefing before your game starts.
